Camp Schedule & Meals

Arrival: Most hunts begin with arrival the afternoon before the hunt to settle in and meet everyone.

Mornings: Days start early between 4:00 am and 5:00 am with a light breakfast of cereal, muffins, rolls, cookies, or burritos.

Daily Routine: Morning hunts typically run until 9:30 am–11:30 am, followed by lunch at camp. After a brief break, afternoon hunts continue until dark.

Provisions: Water, soda, and snacks are provided for the field, though hunters may bring their own favorites.
Transportation & Safety

Transport: Most transportation during the hunt is provided by the outfitters.

Airport Transit: Extra transportation to/from the airport can be arranged for a small fuel fee. Rental cars are available at the airport.

Safety: Firearms must remain empty at camp and in the field until it is time to hunt. All new hunters are accompanied by a guide or in close contact with the lead outfitter.
Preparation & Gear

Physicality: Elevation ranges from 6,500 to 8,500 feet; walking or exercising a few times a week before arrival is recommended.

Rifle Hunts: Shoots are often between 100 and 300 yards; good optics and practice with a steady rest are essential.

Archery Hunts: Practice for 20- to 40-yard shots; broadside shots are preferred for clean kills.

Footwear: Hiking shoes are recommended for early archery hunts; waterproof, windproof clothes and insulated boots are necessary for late winter.
Hunt Agreement & Policies
Payments & Refunds

Deposit: A 1/2 deposit is required when booking, with the remaining 1/2 due upon arrival for the hunt.

Draw Failure: If you do not draw a tag, the 1/2 deposit is refunded within 14 days or can be transferred to a different hunt.

Cancellations: No refunds are made for personal problems without discussion. Exceptions include death, family emergencies, or emergency health issues.

In-Progress: No refunds are issued after a hunt has started.
Terms

Services: Peakview Outfitters provides room, board, and all meals.

Guide Status: All hunts are considered semi-guided unless other arrangements are made.

Insurance: The company is insured and bonded by Burns Insurance Agency, Inc. in Saratoga, WY (307-326-8825).
